The carefully selected grapes were harvested in September. The must underwent a long maceration on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for more than 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.
The wine thus obtained is aged for 12 months in small barrels, before being bottled and completed ageing in the bottle for a further 12 months.
Tasting notes
Colour: intense ruby red, with reflections tending towards purple.
Nose: intense and persistent, fruity with hints of ripe red fruit.
Taste: fine, decisive, characterised by notes of ripe red fruit, such as plum and morello cherry.
Gastronomic pairings: It goes perfectly with grilled red meats, fatty and slightly spicy dishes; it can also be paired with red fruit jam tarts.
